Need gnome-search-tool attributes
« on: March 15, 2013, 05:05:23 AM »
When doing a search with gnome-search-tool, the results can be inspected directly by simply right-clicking an entry and then selecting one of the options (Open with , Open folder, etc); I would like to use this very convenient facility on a script-generated file-list.
Is there system-attribute which can be applied to the individual file-list entries to provide this facility? Alternatively, does a utility exist to do it?

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks.

Have you tried gnome-search-tool --help-all?

If the file list you want cannot be created by the search tool options, maybe you could create links in a temporary directory, or even copy the actual files there and then call the tool to "search" for all.
