I don't know about Teamviewer... ssh seems better if you need a secure access, but it seems that all you really need to do is share your folder. You can easily do that through PCC if you are on a local network. I question Teamviewer because I installed it and was cleaning my office when I looked up and saw conky showing A LOT of internet activity. Since nothing was being done on that desktop, conky had some reference to teamviewer so I opened System Activity. Apparently, a daemon had been installed and was communicating heavily with a server somewhere. I realize that it has to connect through the internet, but it seemed odd that it was always on and activity was occurring. So I killed the process and removed Teamviewer for now until I can have the time to figure out what Teamviewer is doing. If you are in the mode of being at a remote location, Teamviewer may be your option.
