Please go buy one... We'll all take bets that it won't boot after you install Linux on it!!
My intention is not to troll or lead anyone astray, we do enough of that ourselves.
But, if the BIOS does not turn UEFI off or whatever that thing is, or what it's
supposed to do, there's software that will turn it off and leave it off. It's
overly talked about in other words, AFAIK.
Once, off, Linux, Windows, FreeDos, or anything else i686-wise will run fine
on any of those machines, AFAIK.
Haven't heard of an exact case otherwise.
Are you saying if I buy this machine, turn UEFI off, it bricks, or won't boot
Linux or anything ? Please advise then.
Most people would prefer it would be off, and just run Linux and possibly
Windows, without it. It doesn't appear this model is exactly affected,
but the manufacturers warranty should protect any models that are,
booting with UEFI or without it. BIOS upgrade should fix it, I've had several
on both of my ASUS's.
