nvidia 173-xx-2 no 3d in options (solved)
« on: March 11, 2013, 06:12:08 AM »
 was able to upgrade the nvidia driver yesterday (yesss) from the repo and all things went well untill i got to the options page in XFdrake. there was no option for 3d acceleration. this causes an error message in google earth and then exit's the program. is this something i can fix by editing the Xorgconf file?

searching through the forum i came across a thread wherin op stated that you should set up the graphical server with the monitor option first ???, then the video card :-\ and finally the resolution ;).
  worked like a charm :o, 3d acceleration yesss. thanks op  :-* ::)
