Sometimes the installs are displaying non or just a part from the screen, even switching the laptops backlight off. With an external monitor the screen is correct.
After the install you can try to correct the displaysettings for the laptop screen.
It is not my case.
Though, by default, the resolution of my machine is not detected and set correctly.
Let me explain...
Booting in live mode, the resolution is 1024x768 (3/4), not as 1600x900. Ok, it can be changed (but it is not automaticaly detected).
Now, if I prform the installation being in live mode whith the correct resolution setting, after the installation I am in a correct 1600x900.
If performing a direct install, after that I'm in a 1024x768 res.
Interesting is that going to Sysstem Conf->Display and Monitor->Size and OrientationCRT 1 Size, the next option is the correct and marked as Automatic; nevertheless, the system is not set as.
Ok, this is not really a big problem.
The real problem is not be able to configure the graphics, and if accessing ATI Catalyst CC, it pops up a window saying it is no ATI driver installed.
Over all, I like KDE precisely for its high configuration (in fact, due to mi eyes problems, I need it) and also for the effects.
I think it is missing driver support for my videocard in this ISO since performing a live session in Mageia 2 and Sabayon 11 there were no problems with the graphics.
Now, I don't want to hear/read: "Then install them"...
I want resolve this issue here and running this distro.
