Inkscape to Illustrator?
« on: March 08, 2013, 09:25:06 AM »
Anyone know how to get an Inkscape file converted to an EPS file that Illustrator CS5 will accept and not get butchered in the mean time?

All I have access to is CS2...

Saving an SVG of the Mexican flag from Inkscape (on PCLOS) as both SVG and EPS, and then opening them in Illustrator (on Server 2008R2):

Perhaps you images are much more complex?

Sorry, this isn't much help, I know...

Lol, sorry... I mean without actually owning Illustrator. I have Illustrator 9, but can't get it to open an SVG file. I need to get it to EPS format that CS5 can open.

Well, the image on the left was saved as EPS from Inkscape, and opened in Illustrator...
