I had one till about month ago... Dumped it in the nearby Amenity Center after it was gathering dust in the wardrobe for over a year after it was replaced with Thinkpad laptop.

I tried that with an old one of mine, worked fine until I plugged it in and electrocuted all the fish, then blew the circuit breaker and the monitor started on fire. So I do not recommend it.

you probably used a samsung, you need to use a lg, like the one in the picture  ;)

Really... I haven't had a CRT monitor for about four years.  I've had since then a 22" monitor for about 1 year, and since then, my 2nd 24" monitor.

I was just last week got my favourite computer store to price me a 27" monitor http://otvtech.com/catalogue?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage_stock.tpl&product_id=16940&category_id=778.  Will be in in about 3 days.

As much as "they" say you/I have to accept it with one dead pixel... I told the computer store, I will not accept with any.

This monitor was put out to pasture after it died right in the middle of doing my taxes a few years ago, poor thing.  ;D
