SOLVED: Stupid Question: Is there a Utility Menu?
« on: March 06, 2013, 02:24:39 PM »
Is there a menu page on the Application Launcher for Utilities: Clam, Baseapps, Screen Capture, etc?

My PCLOS2013 is current, I suspect there is such a Utility section, however it is not included in my desktop.  Is there a switch, conf that I need to implement?

Thanks

peddlerp,

If you search in Synaptic for the app in question eg Clamav, then>  right click on clamav>  Properties> Section> File tools
You should see Clamtk under File Tools in the PC menu.

xvidcap is a screen capture app and after install should be in menu under Video.

For screen snapshots I use Ksnapshot (in menu under Graphics)

Thanks... I guess it helps to have Clamtk installed before it will show up in the menu.
