So, what are you guys watching on Television lately?

Me?  I've become a fan of "The Big Bang Theory" since friends told me out it last year.

i did a post about recommendations on series, it turns out that most of us are watching the same series

castle, big bang theory, the walking dead, person of interest, the mentalist, how i met your mother, 2 broke girls to mention some

that from series with new chapters, canceled or that reached the final chapter, house and fringe

maybe we could ask if you like sci fi, drama, action, comedy or what other type of series?

i try to avoid much drama but ended watching grey's anatomy and also watched private practice(i don't recommend it, poor characters!  too much suffering)

Due to my schedule and cartooning at my board, I tend to not commit to series that require you to come back each week.

Yeah, but I graze.  I'll watch a few episodes here and there, then on to other things.:) Because I'm at my drawing board, I also tend to listen more than watch.  So, my internet radio is never far.

I don't have cable or netflix. Most shows I watch are shows I buy on disc.

I am watching one on amazon, The Walking Dead.

I do not own TV set since 2007 or so but I am following a few shows on DVD (buying / renting)...

Big Bang Theory
2 Broke Girls
The Walking Dead
Supernatural
How I Met Your Mother
Revolution
Breaking Bad
Dexter
Game Of Thrones
Alphas
Hunted
Warehouse 13
Homeland
Good Wife

and so on...

I also have quite a few movies on DVD and I like to re-watch them when I feel like it. They are nicely backed up to my 2 TB WD Green USB 3.0 MyBook HDD (so the originals can be stored safely without the risk of damaging the DVD media and so my DVD drives in my laptops are not getting overworked / stressed to much) and shared in my LAN network for all my machines via sshfs so I can watch them from any of my machines anytime I want to... I made a KDE4 action menu entry for this occasion. It works very well.

The last movie I saw was (in cinema) a new James Bond movie - Skyfall. You do not want to know what I thought about it...

Now... Since in Ireland they want to force EVERYONE to pay the new "TV License" (even if You don't have a TV set) which was renamed to the "Broadcasting License" and since I am moving to a new apartment within the next month or so - I will reconsider buying a TV set and possibly will get UPC.ie to cut me a TV / Internet deal. I will take the lowest available package as long as it contains "Animal Planet" and "Discovery Channel" coz that's what I will end up watching...

Regards.

Andrzej

Since my two favorite shows ended, House and Lost (I know, a lot of people hated Lost but I found it interesting and confusing although I hated the ending) I don't have any favorite series.

I mostly watch ID Channel 285 on DirecTV which is basically True Crime stories. It gets depressing after awhile because it shows how cruel and cold some people are but I like a good WhoDoneIt.

History Channel can be good but it's really gone downhill lately.

Discovery Channel has some good shows. I like the Survival shows, Dual Survival is one, Man Woman Survival is another.

The Following with Kevin Bacon is driving me over the edge.

i tried to watch one of the following chapters but from what i have read, it is a really stressful story, not my type of tv serie, it looks excellent but i won't watch it

about mythbusters, you shouldn't mention it, everyone should watch it

tv and tv series are two different things, especially since many of them can be watched on your web browser by opening a web site form the channel that broadcasts it

now since the original question was what we were watching, you could answer that question with nothing, or just don't answer

I'm sorry. I did not mean that response to be negative, just informative. I've tried to like watching television, movies, etc., but very little holds my attention. I do enjoy a little light-hearted sitcom like The Big Bang Theory, but the 10 minute commercials kill it for me. I've watched the dvd's after the fact and it's better, but it still feels like a waste of my time.
