<Fixed>Gimp: Open Toolbox Automatically?
« on: March 04, 2013, 07:31:38 AM »
Once up time when I opened Gimp the tool box would automatically open to one side. But no more. Now I have to open it each time and it doesn't remember the width I had it configured to so I have to reconfigure it. Any way to fix this?

KDE fully updated.

Rename your ~/.gimp-2.8 folder to maybe ~/.gimp-2.8.bak

Start Gimp and it will make a new default (profile)  ~/.gimp-2.8  ie. same as a new install.

If you want single window mode, enable in the Gimp -> Windows menu.

If all is working, copy any brushes, plugins, scripts etc. to your new profile.

delete the backup profile.

Thanks. That worked and reminded me once upon a time I had to do that every couple of months. Vaguely remembered deleting something to get patterns to work but had forgotten it was the whole folder.
