Shockwave /browser malfuntions

shockwave has decided to be moody and crash when it wants to. i've updated synaptic and check to see  if "prelink" was installed and it wasn't as was  suggested in the link above no luck:/

has anyone been able to fix this or has had similar problems??

Remove chromium completely,
it's time for:
google-chrome-stable
