It would appear their "Diamond Like Coating" is none to diamond like.
Any coating is going to scratch, eventually.
This "DLC" coating is supposed to be one of the best.
The "coating" idea was originally meant to eliminate the reflective quality's of a knife when struck by light.
This is important during covert military operations because anything reflecting light could tip off a strategic location.
It's aesthetic qualities however, bled over into the public and now, every knife company on the planet is offering high quality knives with this coating on it.
Personally, I don't like these coatings but some knives you simply can't get without the coating.
My Cryo is a perfect example. (The one in the picture)
Awesome knife, but it doesn't come
without this gray "DLC".
My favorite finish on a knife is what's called "Stone Wash".
