Thank you all for your kind and friendly greetings. I confess I'm not a 'one distro' person - I've got about a dozen different ones on this Linux computer, mostly just to play with
The only ones I use (more or less) seriously are openSUSE and, of course, PCLinux OS. I've used and (mostly) enjoyed these two right from the beginning of my introduction to Linux, seven or eight years ago now AFAIR. I come from, not Windows or Mac, but RISC OS which I still use for most things (but definitely not browsing).
I shall be changing over to 64 bit PCLOS as soon as it's released, I almost could now - there's just one minor python library package missing which I need and I'll mention it on the 64 bit thread soon.

BTW It *was* 'Sunny Dorset' yesterday, but back to the cold & grey today!
