I too find it very hard to believe that daniel would have intentionally written anything that you might consider hurtful. Sarcastic perhaps, but sarcasm and irony are time-honoured ways of expressing disagreement without yelling or swearing or actually being offensive. And usually daniel is just helpful. As DeBaas implied: are you certain you didn't misinterpret what he wrote? (Historically, misunderstanding someone because of cultural and linguistic differences has led to severe international conflicts.)
