blackberry Z10 review
« on: February 25, 2013, 06:55:22 PM »
"After using my BlackBerry Z10 for a few weeks now, my initial excitement for the BlackBerry 10 platform has not worn off — thanks to the BlackBerry Hub, awesome keyboard, application switcher, and attractive hardware.

Everything in BlackBerry 10 is based on Flow, the gesture-based navigation and controls; and after using the Z10 for a few weeks I now find myself swiping all over my other phones. Like the Nokia N9 with MeeGo, I love that I can unlock the Z10 with a simple swipe up from below the display. After the display is on, the fun just continues."

It sure is getting competitive out there.
There is a 5th dimension, beyond that which is known to man.It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity, between science& superstition,& it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call PCLINUXOS!

If I want a phone provided by work it's gotta be a BB.
This summer I'll be getting one of these beauties.

I've suffered for 3 yrs with a stupid thumbpad for navigation.
I cannot wait. ;D

I like the fact that android app designers can make their apps work on the BB10 with just small change in code.
This should hopefully increase the available apps you can download.

yes, that is their strong point, phones for work but that is their problem too

the new os and tools could change that, thanks to android platform but their changes are focused to a new os, not the work os that old users liked so much

lots of changes and they need to make things work with the new ui, i hope you guys can share with us your experiences with the new phones

Not a chance. Never used the slide-out keyboard on my BB Torch 9810.

BUT,BUT....... tomorrow I'm getting a BlackBerry Zed-ten..!!!  My contract  allows me to get a new phone after August 30, 2013.

To get a BB Z10, one has to pay 139.99 up front.  To get the BBZ10 tomorrow, I have to pay 215.00 on top of that.  Seeing that I'm opting out a contract early.  I don't give a crap.... I want the Z10..!

i don't know if you should get one so soon, i haven't read about specific problems from this first group of phones yet but you know that sometimes early adopters suffer from problematic devices

remember that this phone uses microsim so you need to cut your sim or get a new one for your new phone, you can do it, usually for free with your mobile provider

i have seen some users saying that the 1800mah battery is too small for such big phone screen, so if you get one, it is possible that you can end up charging it daily, or each two days maximum but i could be wrong, sometimes people write just crap without much knowledge about things  ;D

I can tell you some problems my present BB Torch 9810 has.

1) when I lock the keyboard & put it into my belt pouch, then pull it out, sometimes the lock is off.

2) The odd time the screen seems to freeze.  All the tapping will do no good.

I would dare to say, that most cellphone models out there have a couple of little bugs, no?

yes, every phone has its quirks and errors but i was talking about problems with touchscreen, problems with overheating, problems with the transmitters, wifi and similar stuff that can happen with first generation phones

Well, I already have it!

There is a bit of a learning curve, from my Torch 9810.  But it is quite amazing so far.

Will give screenshots once I have a handle on it...

try to use it hard, to see how fast the battery drains, if it lasts over 4 hours, then this phone has good battery life, tyr to watch a bunch of youtube videos
