Java update requires removal of Wuala
« on: February 21, 2013, 06:41:42 PM »
Hello.  Updating Java to version 1.6.0.41-1 requires the removal of Wuala as hinted at in this post.

Wuala is an integral part of my back up procedure and I don't use Wine or Virtual Box (and know virtually nothing about them).

Can anyone suggest a solution?  Dropbox isn't a solution because (1) there is inadequate free storage and (2) it would make such a mess of my folder arrangements to put all the folders that need backing up into the Dropbox folder.

In the meantime, I am not updating Java.

I don't know if the problem you have has already been resolved, but I just installed Wuala after the java update. This is on a 32-bit stable install. This did not remove java. If the problem is still there, I would allow the update, then re-install wuala.

Thanks.  I just re-loaded and the problem is still there.  Worst case, I will try what you suggest.
