i have pc linux installed on a 160GB hard drive and it does work but i am concerned about storage space reguarding packages being stored locally on the hard drive ?
Well, installed packages
will take up space ...
But if you are concerned about the rpms being archived in
/var/cache/apt/archives, you should just set up Synaptic to delete downloaded packages after installation.
(Settings > Preferences > Files > Delete downloaded packages after installation.)Or you could even delete those archived rpms manually that you don't wish to keep as backups.
