Do you have 10-chromium.conf still present /etc/fonts/conf.d folder?

It's not there :(
Picture of the new situation, also when I create a new user.

I changed the font now to about the former looks, but it's still not the same.

Copy this file to your /etc/fonts/conf.d folder and see if it helps or not.

Looks now the same as in Firefox  (had no desktop changes).

Okay, I'm confused.  I thought Crome was unavailable for Linux. I thought we were only given Chromium to use.

So, what to do...Install Chrome?  Will this conflict with Chromium in some way?  (I have PASS.)

It should replace Chromium.

I'm personally not a big fan of either, but I installed Chrome to check it out, and it seems to do whatever it should, in its usual manner.

Okay, I'l install. And, I assume, it will automagically uninstall Chromum?  I'm gonna do so now.:)
EDIT -- Nope. It keeps Chromium. Looks lke i now have both.

New Chrome is very nice!  Thank you, PCLinuxOS team!:)

When I installed google-chrome-stable my already installed Chromium 19.xxx version was left alone thus both can be opened at the same time.

I'm not a fan of Chrome/Chromium and don't use them (only install them to test them out) so I don't know if running both of them would cause any problems further down the road........

I didn't have Chromium installed before installing Chrome, but it did import all of my Firefox bookmarks.

I took the plunge and tried it .....  no it did not automatically pick up the chromium bookmarks .....  and did not provide an obvious means of importing them either, only offering to import the Firefox bookmarks.

So the two reside completely separately for the moment .....

hmm.....Google-chrome picked up my bookmarks and default start-up home pages ok.
I didn't do anything special. Just synaptic install. Old chromium-browser remained, but I removed it after finding the google-chrome install to be perfect match.  ???  ???
