Chromium - new version PLEASE!!!
« on: February 21, 2013, 02:54:10 AM »
Hi,

I am interested why you constantly neglect to provide new version of Chromium?

In my surrounding most Linux oriented people use Chrome/Chromium but with PCLOS I am far away from current version and many extensions do not want to work any more and about security there is no need to comment at all.

Best Regards

google-chrome-stable_current_i386.rpm is on PASS, so I guess it's a matter of days to appear on public repos.

I forgot that you have to make at least 10 posts to be able to access the "New Package Requests" and "Requested Package Updates" sections of the forum.

I see you have 10 posts now :P
Check the link again ;)

Okay, I'm confused.  I thought Crome was unavailable for Linux. I thought we were only given Chromium to use.

So, what to do...Install Chrome?  Will this conflict with Chromium in some way?  (I have PASS.)

It should replace Chromium.

I'm personally not a big fan of either, but I installed Chrome to check it out, and it seems to do whatever it should, in its usual manner.

Okay, I'l install. And, I assume, it will automagically uninstall Chromum?  I'm gonna do so now.:)
EDIT -- Nope. It keeps Chromium. Looks lke i now have both.

New Chrome is very nice!  Thank you, PCLinuxOS team!:)
