My wife's OB/Gyn just tap-tap-tap-tap-taps on his touchscreen PC, and tells us the prescription will be ready for us to pick up at our favorite pharmacy on the way home. Electronic prescriptions are becoming much more prevalent, and it's a good thing, with all of the sound-alike, look-alike medications out there now.

Mine stills does.  I'm guessing it is a good way for him to prove his charges.
