Gwenview segmentation fault
« on: February 18, 2013, 01:53:23 PM »

After the upgrade Digikam to version 3.0, Gwenview falls segfault if in the Gwenview menu bar click on  Plugins button. Can anybody confirm this?

PS. System is 32-bit, fully updated. Delete Gwenview configuration files does not help.

Gwenview starts and runs fine, but when I try to run the plugins, the program crashes.

Confirmed!

Crashes when using plugins.

Edit: not a pclinuxos issue;( googled on: gwenview plugins crashes): https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=780805

Can I get at least a temporary solution to this problem?
Can we hope to update the kipi-plugins or gwenview?

An alternative program would be Kuickshow or GQview. I use both.  ;)

GQview is abandoned/obsolete and has been replaced by Geeqie.

Just today installed RC1 on laptop and Gwenview works fine. Can not get Kuickshow to display anything other than scrambled color lines. Any ideas? Thanks.
[doug@localhost ~]$ kuickshow
kuickshow(5319) FileWidget::getItem: no current index
kuickshow: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/libldap-2.4.so.2: undefined symbol: ldap_int_tls_destroy

Yea, I confirm this is happening. I suspect it's the new kiki plugins. Kiki was updated with digiKam 3.0.

I need to get digikam sorted first to get this fixed. That will take some time.

Thanks Menotu. yes kuickshow works great in KDE 2013.2 Just did a fresh install of RC1 from a different download. Gwenview works fine but kuickshow on 64bit still shows scrambled lines?

Maybe this needs to become a different thread.

Hmmm, there are a lot alternatives (look in graphics sections in synaptic) and working on 64bit

I like XnViewMP  (good browser, good converter ect...).
