Running fine for me.

Whatever version is in the repo works fine here too
on my standard hardware.

I had asked them about Linux version and this is what they had to say:

Thank you for contacting us.Unfortunately, due to human resources, we have
stopped maintaining Reader for Linux. But we are developing windows-less frame
Reader that can run across platforms. That will be a substitute version of
current one.

I have no idea what exactly is a windows-less frame Reader and would not be bothering them again.
Packaging well will cure headaches of many :) But learning to package will cause headaches in many :(

i read that as a reader that works better in wine or that it works inside a web browser

java is not a good solution i think, security, ram usage, speed, extra files makes it a pita

i just installed 32 bit windows version on pclinux 64 bit rc1, and you know what crow?  you are completely right, it works well, a bit slow but perfectly usable

Maybe not - but what else offers a write once, run everywhere solution?
