(solved) Last update broke gqview

Gqview is one of my most used programs.  I manage my photo library with it and I take lots of pictures.  It's been a faithful friend for years.

I did an upgrade today and see that gqview was removed from my system.   If I try to install it, I get a dependency error.

This is a major thing for me...  Will we ever see gqview on PCLOS?

Gqview is outdated and replaced by its follow up Geeqie,

Ah...   

And the functionality is pretty well the same..  Whew..   I can live with that..   Thanks!!

I had the same reaction that you did, but then noticed the menu entry for Geegie, which I'd never before seen. I quickly went to a directory containing about 30 images, right clicked the first and chose Open With --> Geegie. Big sigh, when I found myself in totally familiar territory. The new name sucks, (Who chose this one, the dev's 5 year old daughter?) but the app seems solid enough.  ;D
