Rule 11.  Never verb nouns.

Rule 11 (a). Never noun verbs

Example: A reviewer describes a book as, ".. a good read."

I think "read" is a verb but here it has been turned into a noun by the placement of "a".

Grrr.  :o :o

Actually, what annoys me even more is using nouns as verbs, which is very common in business circles where products are "trialled" instead of tried, features are "leveraged" instead of utilised and customers are "serviced" instead of served.

With M$, customers have always been serviced. Their splash screen should read, "Bend over... here it comes."  ;D
