galaxy note 2 user review
« on: February 13, 2013, 05:53:29 PM »
"Not long ago I was so frustrated with Android I put my Nexus S 4G aside and didn't pick it up for months. Recently I was impressed with what I was reading about the Galaxy Note 2 and its big screen so I decided to give Android another chance on a phone and bought one. After using the Note 2 exclusively for a couple of weeks I am convinced it is the best smartphone I have ever used. It is so good it has changed the way I use my other mobile gadgets."

yes, i am impressed now too

the first time i saw one, i was convinced that it was the dumbest idea ever, but seeing one in the hand, working and performing well as a smartphone and a tablet, it seems to be ideal for much more users

the thing is that the size, if there should be a bigger one or the limit should be this

Difficult to say. I no-longer notice how big it is, other than when I see alongside other devices. Then I usually wonder how the users manage to cope with such such small screens.

So far I have felt no need for a larger device, so for me (at least for the present time), this seems the optimal size.

well, i have a 3" smarphone, doing just fine, smaller wouldn't be usable at all, so ideal is 4" but 3 is the minimum usable for basic stuff

but i ask you, would yo use a 7 or even a 8" smartphone?  would that be possible?

Well ... never say never, but for me they wouldn't be as portable. I can fit my Note 2 in a pocket.
Phones of this size would essentially be tablets with phone capability, nothing wrong in that, but not the easiest thing to grab and make a call while you're out and about.

With a bluetooth headset, and voice dialing, does size really matter?  As long as you can figure out how to carry it, that is.

I agree with that, it's just the portability issue. Having said that many people can be seen wandering about with tablets in their hand or in a bag.

Maybe I'm being less open minded than I should be  :D

i personally don't like wireless headphones or headsets, i listen music alot and this is a issue for me

also since i use it for music, the size is important because change songs in the device must remain simple and a big device makes things a bit complicated

voice dialing, well, i tried those features in the past and couldn't do much with it, perhaps try with it again?

yes, carry it is what matters now, if you can do it easily or not and how you use it
