If the printer is the one listed at the above URL, then yes, it's supported.
Minimum hplip version = 3.12.6
hplip version in PCLOS repo = 3.12.9

Yes, it's the first one listed.:) Thanks!:)  Now, all I need do is reinstall his PCLinuxOS so he can get the latest packages, etc.:)

Does the latest and greatest KDE version point to the current repos?  Or do I have to manually set the sources list?
EDIT - Downloading (via torent) the latest release pclinuxos-kde-2013.02.iso. I'm assuming that repos, etc are all set correctly and pointing to correct servers (as there was a move not so long ago.).

Yes, /etc/apt/sources.list contained in the current ISO (2013.02) is working just fine. Or at least it is for me  :)

Thank you so much for confirming all this.:) My brother is stopping by tonight with his notebook computer and his new printer.  I'm going to do a reinstall of PCLinuxOS and then hook up his printer.  Should be easy to get his printer up and running now that I know hplip is the latest and greatest and supports the P3520.:)

The bump in the road was I didn't update is system since first installing.   He was always using it and getting work done.  I warned him that I'll probably need to do a complete reinstall down the road. No problem.  He LOVES running Linux and not having to deal with all the Windows problems.
