Volume slider, mixer, ksnapshot and khotkeys
« on: February 13, 2013, 08:07:26 AM »
Seems like this is happening too often - I reboot, for whatever reason, and instead of getting my normal lineup in the systray, I get the kmix mixer icon (which opens up the mixer) instead of the kmix volume slider, and I lose my ksnapshot when I press print screen on the keyboard.  In the past I just rebooted a couple more times and finally it comes back.  I posted before about this, and someone recommended renaming  ~/.kde4/share/config/kmenueditrc to kmenuedit-old, and then rebooting.  This seemed to work.  It happened 2 weeks ago, and I did this fix and it worked.  It happened again today, and when I went to look for kmenueditrc, it was no longer there, just the old renamed files.  I saw just above where it should have been ~/.kde4/share/config/khotkeysrc, so I tried renaming that and rebooting, and everything is working again.  I checked, and a new khotkeysrc was created.

I didn't screw anything up with this blind fix, did I?

Anyone know why this is reoccurring like this?
