Thanks, joechimp, I'm sitting in the Berkshires in MA and have seen about a thousand flakes so far. Hammers are nowhere to be seen! It must be happening somewhere else.

I heard 30 inches of snow. That sounded like being hammered to me.  :D

Guess it is going to be a storm of epic proportions. I saw on TV that in Massachusetts the Governor declared a state of emergency and closed all roads at 4 PM. If you get caught on the road and you are not an emergency vehicle or an essential worker of some kind, it will be 1 year in jail. That sure sounds like they are taking this serious.

Hope everyone gets through that mess!

My sister-in-law just made the trip safely (on the roads) from Rochester to "Upstate" (Catskills).

This was about 3 hours ago from my current post but JRex (whom, as most of you know, is already in up state New York) says "It's still coming down and shows no sign of stopping"  :o

Tomorrow is Saturday.  We (216 miles north of the 49th parallel) will have -1C temps.  That is crazy warm for us, this time of year.

My 32-inch snow-blower has only seen snow 4 times this winter so far.

We ended up with about a foot of snow. Unfortunately, I could not test our new Generator in a real life situation, since the power never went out around here. I am starting to believe what my wife said when we had it installed:"From now on the power will never go out again!"

We are at 42/42N with -11C.
