Yeah, saw that video last week sometime.     :D

Things have hotted up though since the initial revelations about contamination of burgers in & from Ireland.

It appears now that some of the high priced branded goods are ~100% horse meat and not beef.

Serious trouble brewing ........ Romania, France, UK, and others.

A lot of Findus products are being or have been withdrawn from sale .......  lasagne, bolognese for example.

It is hard to know where this will end.

I remember way back in 1944 whilst in the navy I had to escort a party of twelve ratings from one ship to another and we were passing though London. We entered a cheapish restaurant for some lunch and I jokingly asked the owner for thirteen steak and eggs (at that time steak - and eggs for that matter - were difficult to find).

"Yes sir, certainly sir", he replied and invited us in. And he seemed to be serious. So we all trooped in and tucked in to large platefuls, hardly able to believe our luck.

Afterwards a few of us were standing outside waiting for the rest to finish and I glanced at a rather inconspicuous sign above the door. Rather like the small print on a document it read - "The meat served in this establishment is the best horseflesh."

But, you know what? It was really good.

Nothing at all wrong with horse flesh .........  except when it is sold as beef .......  then it is a matter for lots of concerns ...... not least the health issues because of the source  .......  and also of course misrepresenting what is being sold.

I totally agree, it is being ripped off and fed contaminated food, that is so upsetting.
Contaminated as in race horses are regularly doped or so most gamblers at the bookys will tell you.
Lose a race = Tesco butcher. :o
