LibreOffice manager Update
« on: February 10, 2013, 10:07:54 AM »
I had a problem with Nvidia drivers crashing my system.  Folks up here helped me solve th problem by restoring old drivers.  I then pinned them as I'm not sure if the update is ready for prime time.

Problem is, LO has an update and I'm unable to do it because it tells me to update my system.  Well, I am updated, except for the pinned drivers.
Toonfully,

You could run lomanager from the terminal with the --no-updatetest switch.
Or you could use the offline installer.

Read the Libreoffice Manager thread for more information:

Thanks.  I see the offline installer instructions and that's pretty straightforward.

I don't quite see how the  --no-updatetest switch wil work...I need to be in front of the system.:)

Will play around with it later tonight.:)

The --no-updatetest will not check if your system is up-to-date.

I think it should work too...

Cool.:)  This is really cool.:)  So, in root Konsle (or regular console and then enter password), the command would simply be lomanager --no-updatetest. then it should start the process.:)

from a terminal in the normal user account:

Code: [Select]
[georgetoon@localhost ~]$ lomanager --no-updatetest
