In each of the two places in which I work I have two computers. Three of them are running KDE with an LXDE desktop. The fourth is running Sphinx XFCE. That last and one of the KDE/LXDE machines have USB keyboards; the other two KDE/LXDE machines use Logitech 350 wireless keyboards. The Logitech keyboards are beautiful to use. But every time I boot up either of those machines, each one of them will have defaulted to a US keyboard - and I'm in the UK. I go into the PCC and re-configure them - it never holds through a re-boot. As the other two USB keyboards hold their configuration with no problem, I guess it's to do with the wireless-ness (!) of the Logitech keyboards. But if so, why? And has anyone any idea how to work around this? It's hardly a life-and-death matter, but it's highly irritating. What I haven't tried - and I think of it as I write this - is booting the Logitech machines into KDE without the LXDE desktop to see if that affects things. I'm not with either of those machines this weekend, but unless any genius here can come up with a solution, I'l try that out when I get to them on Monday. Any ideas gratefully received.
