I had to perform a fresh install. The system worked perfectly but I had to reinstall it because I had to touch a bit the Windows (System and Data) partitions. So, I thought:"OK, I'll run the last 2013.04". Both 32 and 64 bits.
Well, opening Configure Your Desktop no Printer Configuration! ???
Neither in 32 nor in 64 bits!
Here are the snapshots:

So, what's the problem?
Ok, the printer can be configured in PCC but why is it missing?!?!
Is there a possibility to get it back?

LOL! You are looking at Configure your Desktop not Configure your Computer.  ;D

Try using Alt+F2 to open krunner;  enter print as the search term and a list of results will be shown. Look for Configure Your Printer (which should be near the top) and select that.

krunner functionality can also be accessed by selecting the KMenu Application Launcher and entering a search term in the top "search field"

I have installed the proper drivers, installed and configured the printer in Configure Your Computer. No problems with it.
I just find strange the disappearance of this task in Configure Your Desktop. It's more convenient, IMO of course, the printer config. in CYD for daily printing config/changes.
Is this a new configuration of KDE team? But, after upgrades, I still had this option available. Ummm... :(

What should I select? ;D

Yes, I can find it in Menu, but I haven't the options to configure what is needed: color, page format...  and so on.

My apologies. The last build of the kde-utils-printer-applet was for KDE 4.9.0. I can send it to the repo and it will show up under the notifications arrow on the bottom right of the taskbar.

Is this what you are looking for?

If you're looking the two snapshots I posted, you'll see under Hardware in one of them (this being the last install 2013.04) is missing the Printer Configuration. In all former releases (and installations) is there, in its place. :D

There is a print-manager module tarball for KDE 4.10.1 but it requires cups 1.5 and we are still at 1.4.6. I don't know when cups is going to be updated. Maybe pinoc can share some insight into it as I've been gone for a while and the last KDE I built was 4.6.5. I skipped the kde printer stuff since we already have system-config-printer and properties can be changed by right clicking on the printer icon.

I kept the system updated. Almost daily and it was ok. Maybe I'll reinstall 2013.02 and update it...
I'll see...
Thanks for the answer.

Texstar or any knowledgeable  person :D

Where is located this task? I thought maybe is possible to copy it from a former release and add it to the new one.
If not, I'll go to reinstall the former 2013.02 and update it since it worked vert well and will go with it. Maybe the next release will include this Printer Config.
Well, keeping up to date the system no need to reinstall it, but never knows when is needed.
Thanks

I have never used the Printer Config from the KDE CC, hence my question .......

Is the KDE setup of the printer only for that particular user, or does it require root privileges and the settings are for every user?

If the settings are system-wide, I fail to see the logic of having two places to edit the settings. It would cause confusion in a help thread.
