No no.
I'd like one knife for general purposes. Like Jed Clampet... wilting. Or cutting something hard to open. BUT that knife should not dull after some 10 to 12 cuts.
A second knife to be a bit of a hunting knife... Camping or in the wilderness... For self-defense against some critter.
Used to do alot of camping where there was no electricity. Be thinking that this coming summer, I might want to get back to that.
Sammy, Kershaw makes a line of knives that sound just perfect for you.
I would recommend that you get both.
Check out both of these knives.
First, a "Corral Creek" small, easy to carry perfect for peeling an apple or whittling on some wood. Open a box or clean your nails.

That steel is corrosion resistant, easy to sharpen and stays sharp for a really long time.

EDIT: looks like the Wildcat Ridge actually comes now with an even better steel. "AUS6A" will stay sharp for even longer. It's a bit harder to sharpen.
Also,, look for the best prices, don't just buy from my links. Both of these knives can be had for less. I own both knives and they rock.
