Hi, I want to run Eudora as a separate email client for work purposes.
I have tried installing but when I run it, it just dumps me into my open thunderbird client.
I then ran Eudora on it's own (Thunderbird closed) and it mucked around with my addons that are used in Thunderbird.
Is there anyway to make Eudora behave as a totally separate system (I know it is based on Thunderbird)
Many thanks
Tony

Only thing I can think of is to create a second user and use Eudora as if you were that user ....

Just17, we can't go on meeting like this!

Thanks for the idea but I am hoping for something that will not involve me logging in and out etc.
I also tried Kmail but it would not run and I could find no other email clients in the repo.

:D

I had in mind running the app from your account, but running it as a second user ........  I haven't quite done this, but see no reason why not ......  the settings & data should then be saved on the second user account and not interfere with your settings and data .....

Hi Just17, thanks again for replies.
Earlier when I did a search in Synaptic I searched for "email" and get just 3 results.
I repeated with searching just for "mail" and get a few other results including Evolution which seems to working nicely.
Strange that the search term "email" fails to bring up all email clients.
All sorted, thanks again for your help.
