The installation of the eBook management software
calibre is no longer provided via Synaptic because it created a nasty error upon upgrading. Instead use Synaptic and install the new tool
calibre-manager for 32 or 64bit. Once installed start it from PCmenu -> More Applications -> Configuration ->
calibre-manager.
Features:- detect Calibre version currently installed on your system
- show most recent Calibre version
available for PCLinuxOS- install/upgrade/remove option
Note: when you start Calibre it will automatically look for a newer version and if present indicate the new version at the bottom of the window. In that case, and if I am fast enough to package and upload the newer version, you can then run calibre-manager again to install the newer PCLinuxOS version.
