No Network Connection
« on: February 04, 2013, 05:52:40 PM »
Hi,
I'm using the latest ver. of PCL (recently updated) with the Gnome GUI. Also I've recently installed several software updates when Notifier says they are available. Up until last night, all was working well. Late last night I was not able to make my usual network connection. This AM, I was able to connect, but it was very slow. I tried again a few minutes ago and could not connect. Windows 7 connection is working just fine (dual boot). I'm using windows now to write this. I have tried deleting the connection and reconfiguring, but get the error message: "Problems occurred during the network connectivity test..." Does anyone have an idea what the trouble might be?
Thanks

Difficult without more information. All we know so far is it appears to be peculiar to your pclos install because Windows can still connect.

Details of how you connect (wifi, Ethernet, mobile) and the list from Synaptic's history might be a starting point. Exactly how you used Synaptic to upgrade would also be useful.

kjpetrie,
Sorry, I should have mentioned that I'm working with a wi-fi connection. I went back to PCL to try to figure how to get the synaptic info you asked for over to Win7 and post it for you. I decided to try creating the connection one more time and it worked. If it fails again, I'll re-post.
Thanks for your response.
