PiTiVi not launching

The title says it all really!

I've just installed (via Synaptic) the PiTiVi video editor which appears in the menu but when clicked it briefly shows in the task bar but fails to launch...?

what says the terminal when you start pitivi from there?

So presumably this means that there is little chance of getting it working on this version of PCLos - despite being available from repos?  What about earlier versions or gnome version or other distro...?

i also get this error. i packaged the latest stable version and the problem is still there don't know what is broken but this topic should be moved to broken packages.
