Few people really recognize quality audio. I used to be a "buff".

When people would ask me about it I always said "if you can't hear the difference, save your money".  ;)

Seems like you know your stuff Sammy.

Nice... very nice.  ;D ;D

Very true Rudge. Until about 1980 I had only ever heard music centre type stereos, and to me they sounded really good. Then one day, I visited someone who had a Bang & Olufsen system! Oh boy. What a shock that was.

well, it costs more than what my netbook and old desktop cost  :-[

i know that 5.1 is one of the best options but i can't feel comfortable with that, i like 2.1 only

it says 500 watt rms, i still don't understand well those values, it should say watts only, probably the main woofer is 30 watts and the rest is 4 watts but i could be wrong

that is alot to listen music and movies

T6, you a great guy, but......

Once you watch a movie on a nice hd monitor...then with 5.1 sound track... Then you know the difference.  (set your back speakers to have a bit of preference).  Then you hear sounds coming at you from all four corners.  THAT is quite cool..!

So you figured it out!

Good sound with no hiss or feedback, is a very good thing.  Especially at heavy bass & high volumes.   Why do you think I had to replace my 5300 speakers... ;D ;D

yes, you are right, my mother has that in her bedroom with a nice 40" lcd, very good experience

now, i don't like to set cables all around my room

i like a simple stereo setup with a extra punch, that is provided by the subwoofer

i also connect my smartphone to those speakers form time to time or a old walkman to listen to radio when i'm really bored, simple man with simple needs  ;D
