Congratulations On Your 12,000th Post TEX !!!

I could fill 10 threads with all the good things I could say about Tex. I will just touch on a few.
Some years ago now, when my frustration with Windows was at it's peak, I discovered Linux. I had heard of it of course but hadn't used it. Fast forward, I tried many many distros. I burned live cd after cd in pursuit of something I would be comfortable with. Something that would take the Microsoft Monkey off my back. ( No pun intended.  :D ). One day I burned a PCLinuxOS live CD. In an instant, I knew I was home. It was everything I was looking for. Never looked back since. I owe Tex a debt of gratitude for what he created. I have told him many times that he literally changed my life with his OS. Then I discovered the forum. Wow, was I shocked. No one came down on you for being a newcomer. I was accepted at first post and I so many people were there to help. Including Tex. Here is the Top Dog of the OS and he comes to the forum and answered questions for me and gave advice to fix an issue. How many other forums would you find that. I for one appreciate his involvement in the forum.

Tex is always there. Even though he has taken a step back for just a bit. He is always there. He drops in from time to time to make sure we haven't overturned the ship. So far so good.

Thanks Tex for everything. I sure hope you are feeling better these days and that you are enjoying the view here of what you created.

Raise a glass to Tex my friends. He is certainly worthy of our praise.  ;D ;D ;D

Of course I wait and wait for his 12,000th and I am off for a day and then he gets it.  ::)

My story is different, I been a fan of texstar ever since he started making the mandrake rpm's better, many moons ago. I remember having a chat with him one day, and I asked, 'Are you going to make your own distribution?'. He replied no, that it would be to difficult, and a bit overwhelming. Yet here we are, the best and getting better I say, all thanks to him.

TerryH got it right, I truly am grateful.

Peace.

I also found my way to PCLinuxOS by first discovering Texstar's superior KDE packages for Mandrake.

Tex, I don't think there is a forum member reading this that would seriously agree with us.

We happen to be joking around at the moment but I must say, every post from you gets the attention of us all when we run across it.

You didn't just create a distro, you created a community of friends.

None of which will leave here until the smoldering ashes of it's unlikely demise fade.

With such strong friendships and devotions to the community, this distro is likely to survive many years into the future.

You,, my friend, have built more than a distro. You created a family.

Indeed "well done" Tex.

12,000 posts? Not accurate by far I am sure.

Creating this family of friends? ...  Priceless!  ;D

(Joe, you could have just skipped all the others. LOL ;) )
