Hope it'll be useful.

The Netapplet vanishes right ater connecting.
Now I am connected but the button still shows "Connect" instead "Disconnect".
I went to Menu->More Apps.->Monitoring, click on NetApplet and now it shows in the tray.

yes, that helped, thank you, still, the system seems like it is searching for something and makes a pause in that moment but doesn't ask me anything

about the net applet, i have seen the same Ika sees

the connect button remains, disconnected or not but the icon on the taskbar disappear when i change something like connect from wireless to wired

my wireless is a atheros ar9285, my wired is a realtek rtl 8101E/8102E

In Grubs menu.lst there is a stanza vga=788
As far as I know it's the same as vga=0x317 and that's for 1024x768x16
If your screen size does not suport this it's  throwing an error.
You can check this by changing the stanza to vga=ask, then you get a list of supported modes.
When you know witch one fits perfectly, change to vga= to the desired (example) vga=0x314 for 800x600x16 or vga=0x315 for 800x600x32.

this is a netbook, it can do 800x600 or 1024x600

it seems to ask for 4:3 resolutions, not 16:10 or 16:9 resolutions, it should use 800x600 isn't?  that would be 788 or am i wrong?

Sorry you are correct, 788 = for 800x600

My advise, check vga=ask to see wich is perfect ;)

The mylivecd script in PCLinuxOS KDE 64bit RC1 makes a LivedCD that doesn't start up the way it is supposed to .
After lines that mention " snmpd (4575) : No pgpgin line in /proc/umstat " - " snmpd (4575) : No pgpgout line in /proc/umstat " - " snmpd (4575) : No pswpin line in /proc/umstat " - " snmpd (4575) : No pswpout line in /proc/umstat "
I get " localhost login " and it stops ...  I tested this as frugal install, and afterwards starting from an ISO file in which case I could not see why it stopped .
Can I fix this myself or has the script an error that the maker of it has to resolve ?....

Hi Bruno53,
There are lots of variables to making a successful remaster.
Best practice getting help is to list your complete mylivecd command and give complete error messages.
Copy & paste directly from your konsole.  ;)
If you want help getting a working iso, maybe start a specific post in the Remaster forum section.

If you haven't yet checked out the info there, you should have a look.
Welcome to the forum.  ;D

ok, so after some more work, the following applications have been fixed/updated/ported/added to the 64bit repo:
- google-chrome (new in 32 and 64)
- mjpegtools (fixed, was broken on 64)
- cinelerra (new)
- kino (new)
- kmediafactory (new)
- k9copy ( ;D new and upgraded to 2.3.8 )
- videoporama (new and upgraded to 0.8.2)

still fighting with the upgraded 2ManDVD (1.8.4) but should get this working soon as well.
The above applications should come to your repo soon. They will close a gap for video-editing/processing in 64bit, so we are getting closer to a nice all-purpose 64bit system. ;)

best!
-p.

edit: also added to 64bit:
- IrfanView
- wine-gecko

Congrats on getting an RC out for 64bit computers.  I''m going to try it on my laptop later on and see how it runs.

Problems with opencv package.

If marked for upgrade, it wants to remove frei0r-plugins and openshot
Same result if marked for removal.
