Wow, your Vehicles must be modified to the hilt to start, and run in those conditions, or say a more favourable  0 degrees C.

Actually, not really.

My old 1991 Chev 3/4 ton sits for the night in an unheated garage.  I never plug in the block heater.  An unheated garage will still be about 5-degrees warmer than outside.

Both my son's vehicles are outside... they plug-in, with timers.
One of the few things I've learnt as growing older.  Is to choose your battles.. but never loose sight of the war..!

I vaguely remember hearing about having to plugin to the Mains to heat the Engine block in cold climates. It never snows where I am so was interested.  ;)
