I see the same 'error' in Firefox.  I checked twice because I have text area minimum width set in content.css but that makes no difference.

In Chromium, the text area is still extended but not as far:



It is possible to file feedback with Mozilla relating to a particular website.

Not the most obvious example, I admit. Check the image on the right, you can see that in the Firefox screenshot the "Search" ("Suchen") button is on top of the image, while in Rekonq the rendering is correct.

I seem to remember that on Windows I didn't have this issue, everything was rendered correctly. Btw, my screen resolution is 1400 x 1050, i.e. any website (only except for the most incompetently designed ones) should not have a problem if the width was defined as an absolute value instead of a relative one.

I will gather some urls and post them here to find out if it's only me (and my settings) or if it's a common issue. Will also see if I can find a solution on the mozilla site.

Oh, I seem to remember that in Firefox on Windows I never had these issues. Unfortunately I don't have access to any Windows machines now....

If you look at his code he is declaring he is using  <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN".....

If he is then he should at least use the proper code.  This is nothing more then a piss poor designed website.  This is not a Firefox display problem!  Just another example of poor coding.

If you looked at his code it really shows. It isn't a suprise W3C lists 92 errors.  Poor code..... this isn't a Mozilla issue, but that of a poor web design issue!

Why file feedback to Mozilla about a poorly coded website?  How is Mozilla going to fix this faulty website?

File feedback to the website owner, pointing out that their designer has charged them for a product with 92 errors, and that as a result the site does not display correctly on all browsers.

That's where the feedback needs to go. People need to be educated to employ proper professionals.
