Adam Hartung, - 1/20/2013 - forbes

Microsoft needed a great Christmas season.  After years of product stagnation, and a big market shift toward mobile devices from PCs, Microsoft’s future relied on the company seeing customers demonstrate they were ready to jump in heavily for Windows8 products – including the new Surface tablet.

But that did not happen.

it would be a different world without microsoft

probably covered with linux in multiple forms(mostly android and similar)

maybe more osx?

probably a better world?

the windows 8 tv ad here in spanish is even weirder that previous ads

the song says no me escuchas no me comprendes, si no me comprendes no me conoces, si no me conoces no valgo nada

that translates to you don't listen to me you don't understand me, if you don't understand me you don't know me, if you don't know me i am worth nothing

kind of what is happening to the product  ;D

from the first link you posted menotu, i have read similar informs in the past about the entertainment line being bad for microsoft(the enormous hole xbox 360 was some years ago can't be covered) but consider to sell it to sony, would make the world of high end games a monopoly because nintendo got nothing with the new wii u

Just yesterday I was speaking with a friend about computers, etc.  She and her husband bought their son a Windows 8 computer with touchscreen and he loves it.

The daughter was given an iPad mini.

It'll be interesting to hear which one is still in love with their computer six months form now.
Toonfully,

Mark

if the current ios is stable enough i bet on the ipad, windows will be always windows

not having to install a antivirus and lots of updates is a big + for a ipad user
