K3B gives I/O error most likely cause no space left on hard disk

I am running Pclos full monty
I have used K3b many times to write  MP3 files to CD
not done so for two months now I want to write MP3 file to cd again and I select the file and click burn
the Burn screen appears but at top it has a message    I/O error most likely cause  no space left on hard disk
I use filelight to check drive and it reports  Home 86.5 GB free and / 37.9 Gb free
What can I do ?

Could try using something like Bleachbit to clean out your temporary/tmp files and folders- the normal proviso applies of being careful which options you enable as it can remove things you may want to keep

If you selected to use your RAM for tmp, then you might have run short of space.

Post the contents of the file

/etc/fstab

to see if the memory is listed as being used for tmp storage.

After a long uphill I discovered this error message was due to the fact that the file I wanted to write to CD was too big to fit the CD. K3B then gives the error message . I record this here simply so future users will get the answer.
