[SOLVED] Module ndiswrapper not being loaded at startup
« on: January 28, 2013, 07:39:33 AM »
Hello,

I`m new to pclinuxos and I have finally installed my wireless network drivers using ndiswrapper. It took me some hours to figure it out, but I have learned how to do this.

I have a question about starting up ndiswrapper when pclinuxos starts up. Now I have to open a folder using root and then type modprobe ndiswrapper everytime I startup pclinuxos. Does anybody know how to boot up pclinuxos with the startup of modprobe ndiswrapper?

Thank you for helping,

Best regards,
Peter

As root edit the file

/etc/modprobe.preload

by adding

ndiswrapper

on a line of its own, making sure the last line of the file is left blank.

That should be equivalent to typing 'modprobe ndiswrapper' at the terminal as root after boot up.
