So The Alien was actually a chihuahua?

By the way, would a two-handed broadsword of such length really be practical in a battle? Wouldn't it be a bit top-heavy?

2 handed swords were not that heavy - the super heavy 2 handed sword used in a battle is a myth. Well not really a myth but the typical two handed sword weighted only about 3 - 6 kg (anything between 6 - 40 kg was just for the show) and You needed great skills and muscles to use them. They were however definitely heavier then the single handed swords or long (approximately 90 cm / 2.5 - 3 kg could be used in both one hand with a shield and two hands when needed). From what I know - two-handed swords were rarely used during the battles (some armies were using them and maybe some crazy fanatics - crusaders / paladins who often thought of a shield as a sign of fear which could be then interpreted as a lack of faith... however those Dudes never had long life expectancy... ;)) - for a simple reason - they do not allow for shield usage which gives great advantage during battle. 2 handed swords were used in duels between 2 knights mostly. I could be wrong tho...
