OK, in the interest of perspective. Loaded LM13 xfce and same issue - long boot time. We both prefer lxde and plan to reload pclos 2012.12 lxde but in meantime maybe this will help.
1. This is dual boot w/ WinXP - did all necessary defrag and chkdsk prior to install
2. WinXP boots in 22 sec / pclos and LM boot in 135 sec. This is completely backwards from our experience.

According to dmesg timestamps, issue is with problem mounting filesystem but google show only disable/remove ureadahead which only temporarily fixes issue:
