Since using pclos i've always wondered why for an rpm distro apt/synaptic was chosen - i think i'm right in saying that pclos is the only rpm distro that uses them. aptrpm was dropped by Fedora... well the apt repo is no longer maintained. I've always liked apt/synaptic compared with yum... preference only as i think both do the job perfectly well to the best of my knowledge.
While looking to see when the next Phoenix was out i noticed that yum maybe included as an alternative. In which case a yum repo will be set up. I'm happy either way... as far as i'm concerned pclos is still the nicest packaging of any distro. Just wondering that's all!
