Mythtv - Which Kernel ?

My old Mythbox (Fedora) died the other day , so time for a new one.
This time I will try Mythtv on PClinuxos.

The machine is AMD Phenom 4 core with 8 gigs of memory and has a 2 TB hard drive.
I will install the pclinuxos-kde-2012.12.iso.

So , should I use the standard kernel , or the pae.bfs kernel ?

Is the Mythtv in the repo a 32 or 64 bit version ?

If you want to have access to all 8G of RAM, then you have to use the PAE kernel.
