Passing A Torch
« on: January 20, 2013, 11:26:20 PM »
For over a year now, I have been "cobbling" together the HTML version of our monthly PCLinuxOS magazine.

As of the completion of my work on the January issue, I will be passing the torch onto a much more competent member of our family.

I will refrain from naming the member but trust me, it is in more capable hands than mine.

I think the first one that I did was "March 2011" but I am not sure about that date.

I just wanted to say to all that have read the HTML version over the past year and a half whom felt that it has been adequate,

THANK YOU.

It's been an honor, privilege and satisfying role to give some things back to this great community.

I hate the fact that my life has become so "commitment" oriented that I can no longer be relied upon to complete the magazine but I am very thankful to the person that has stepped up to relieve me.

I am totally confident that the HTML version of the magazine is in good hands.

(we might even get some awesome baked bread recipes)   ;D ;D ;D

It's been a joy working with the Magazine staff and thanks to you all for allowing me to give back to this deserving community.

please,, nobody start calling me Russell. At this forum, I much prefer Rudge. ;)

Rudge,

Sorry for my delay in responding to this thread ... it IS the end of the month, so you definitely know what that means! As a result, I haven't been "in the forums" for much of the past few days.

I'd like to take this chance to publicly thank you for all of your hard work on the magazine's HTML edition for much of the past couple of years. It has been an extraordinary pleasure working with you on the magazine.

My apologies to you and Pam personally for not being able to continue. You guys have been very supportive and patient with me.

And thanks YouCanToo!.

I know you already have allot on your plate so a BIG thank you from me.

Rest assured that I am available to assist or answer questions during the transition.

YouCanToo might have one question,, "Where does that banner come from each month?" LOL

It took me 6 months to figure it out. ;)
